Art Therapy Licensure

In September 2015, DVATA formed a sub-committee known as the Pennsylvania Art Therapy Licensure Council (PAATLC). PAATLC has been diligently working to pave the path towards forming an independent professional art therapy license in Pennsylvania. To find out more about the work of PAATLC, please visit the sub-commitee’s website .

To be involved in the PAATLC efforts, DVATA membership is not a requirement. It is open to all Pennsylvania art therapists. We do however encourage becoming a member of the DVATA/AATA and participating in DVATA sponsored events. Membership dues and fundraiser events support fiscal responsibilities of the DVATA, and licensure is one of those fiscal responsibilities.
